The War Memorial

The 'war memorial' in Lodz is almost opposite the zoo and in fact commemorates various struggles of the Polish people including the Wars. It is almost new end the wreaths in the photo were laid on the previous morning by the Polish 'First Secretary' Mr. Edward Gierek who visited Lodz and came to the factory (ZTK) where I was working.
