The "Rynek St. Miasta" is a large open square which forms the impressive focal point of the old twn. It is completely traffic free and is a bustle of activity with open air cafes and artists selling their work. This ia a general view of the square from the South-West corner. The old town of Warsaw has a unique atmosphere especially on a warm summer evening. The town is always alive with people. During the day these are mostly tourists; at dusk however it seems to be full of local people; the buildings are partially floodlit, there is music on the air and the whole area has a very romantic atmosphere.
