Jezreel (Armageddon)
We had lunch at a service area by the side of the road in the Jezreel Valley. After several days of strict Kosher food (over passover) this restaurant with fresh bread and pork was a welcome surprise.


Also known as the Plain of Armageddon the area didn't have the menace or devastation you might expect. In fact, the setting was very pleasant with flowers everywhere. 
We were here because we were on the way to Nazareth. Again the local tensions are very apparent from the languages on the road signs.


This small town on the hillside overlooked the road and services where we stopped.
